Jeep Cake

We have created a jeep for a birthday this year to be delivered to Dave and Busters. The cake needs to set up for a day to dry a little before travel on TN roads! This cake is a commissioned piece and takes about 4 hours to complete the decoration process. It is paid for in advance because it is custom(no moulds for this cake everything is handmade, hand cut, hand detailed. and hand painted) and it is definitely not one of our inexpensive items.

Such a sweet sweet couple. How often do you get a chance to bless a couple that has been married for 50 years. Nelene is a beautiful person she runs meals on wheels for her church. She is also a local artist in Mt Juliet TN. When I met them my price for the cake would have been more but the Lord whispered to me bless them. I said what ever you say Lord as you are the one that gives me cakes. Nelene I hope your day is special and you have many more years with your wonderful husband!

They are the featured couple in the Wedding Of The Week in the local Tennessean today February 21st 2009. We also made cookie favors for each guest. Congratulations to Melanie and Raymond and their two girls.

Here is a cake we are finishing up for this weekend. A Nikon D 50 cake in 3-d. This is my first camera and I think it came out pretty good for a first try. See what you think. This cake is huge by the way the picture does not show it's size the top to bottom is 9 inches tall and the length is 12 inches long. The board is a 14 inch square.

Let's Eat Cake

Masterpiece Weddings, an event coordination agency founded by Melissa Margarita-DiStefano, is working really hard to put on an amazing fundraiser in February called Let’s Eat Cake! - which will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital - an incredible organization that’s dedicated to treating children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

Let’s Eat Cake! is a wedding cake competition, featuring Wedding Cake confections from all over the United States. Bakers will feature their cakes to be judged by Local and National Culinary Celebrities. In addition bakers will be asked to make enough cake to feed the general public, so that they may judge the cakes as well!

The goal is to raise $50,000 for this extremely worthy cause. (Donate here!) Please help spread the word about our goal, and our mission. If you can help financially, that’d be great, if you blogging about this right now…. your spreading the word - and that’s all we can ask for!

Chocolate bark

Step One: Get your favorite candy coating or bark.
Step two: Melt the chocolate according to the package directions.
Step three: Mix in toffee bits or nuts.
Step Four Spread out the chocolate
Step Five: Melt a little white chocolate.
Step Six: Drizzle over the chocolate mixture.
Step 7: Take your fork and marble the chocolate.
Step 8: Let the mix set up.
Step 9 cut the chocolate with a pizza cutter.
Sept 10 Break apart and package for Christmas gifts.
yeild: Makes about 1 pound 8 ounces.

Rent A cake of your dreams this year and save. This cake will rent for $250.00, you can get Sam's sheet cake to feed 100 people for about $30.00 that is .30 cents per serving. NO one in Town can beat that price and on a cake this large. I would retail real cake at no less than $1200.00. You can also custom design rent a cakes starting at $300.00. Each cake in addition to the rental price has additional security damage deposit that is fully refundable most damage deposits will be $200.00. Damage is deducted if necessary from this deposit.
